Events Bruges 2012

Below you will find a brief overview of the key events in our vibrant city of Bruges and her surroundings. More information at:

1st April - 31st October 2012:                 - Summer Walk ( These walks introduce you to the different sides of Bruges. You will see many of the classic sights, but you will also go off the beaten track.  Languages: en - nl - fr ) 
1st May- 1st August 2012:                      - Kamarama ( From May 1 until August 1, 2012, artist, painter, theatre and television producer Kamagurka will act as curator for a special art project in Bruges: Kamarama. On several locations he will display his own works as well as works of other artists who inspire and fascinate him. It will be an exhibition full of remarkable art, surprising perspectives and a certain amount of humour.)

27 April - 20 May :                                 - MAY FAIR

11 - 26 May:                                         - AIRBAG FESTIVAL  (several locations, Bruges)

17 May:                                                - THE PROCESSION OF THE HOLY BLOOD  ( For centuries, this popular municipal procession has been depicting arresting and moving scenes from the Old and New Testament. The procession's roots go back to 1291!)

17 May - 21 May:                                  - BOEKET VOOR BRUGGE ( Flower exhibition from Daniël Ost for the 100th aniversary of the environment departement of the city of Bruges)

June

30 June:                                               - FEEST IN 'T PARK  (Free world festival with workshops, a world village for children, a 'southern' market and world music.)

July

1 July:                                                  - ZANDFEESTEN (Over the years this immense antiques and bygones fair has proven its international appeal. A crowd puller that attracts both the keen collector and the interested day tripper time and again.) 

6 - 8 July:                                             - CACTUS FESTIVAL (Minnewaterpark, Bruges)

14 - 16 July:                                         - CIRQUE PLUS ( Het Entrepot, Binnenweg 4, Bruges)

19 - 21 July:                                         - BRUGGE TRIPELDAGEN (Markt Bruges)

August

5 August:                                             - ZANDFEESTEN

19 August:                                           - THE PEAGENT OF THE GOLDEN TREE  (The Golden Tree Pageant is a magnificent and enchanting spectacle, for young and old alike. The 'giants', the ceremonial floats and the 2,000 colourfully dressed historical figures are a sight not to be missed!)
